SRH’s Batting Performance – 162/5 in 20 Overs

  • Sunrisers Hyderabad started their innings with a steady pace, accumulating 46 runs in the first six overs. However, the early dismissal of Travis Head (28) didn’t help their cause.
  • Heinrich Klaasen was the top scorer for SRH with 37 runs off 28 balls. His quick innings helped SRH reach a somewhat competitive total.
  • Nitish Kumar Reddy chipped in with 19 runs, while Aniket Verma added an important 18 runs off 8 balls in the final overs, ensuring SRH finished at 162/5 after their allotted 20 overs.

MI’s Chase – 166/6 in 18.1 Overs

  • Mumbai Indians made an excellent start in their chase, scoring 55 runs in the powerplay. However, early wickets of Rohit Sharma (26) and Ryan Rickelton (31) created some tension.
  • Despite the setbacks, Suryakumar Yadav (26) and Will Jacks (36) held their ground to keep MI’s hopes alive.

Controversial Moment: A No-Ball Wicket

  • A rare moment occurred in the match when SRH’s Zeeshan Ansari dismissed Ryan Rickelton, but the wicket was canceled due to a no-ball call. The wicketkeeper, Heinrich Klaasen, was found to have been marginally ahead of the stumps at the time of delivery, invalidating the wicket (Reuters).
