Even a small mistake can be caught – strict CCTV monitoring implemented

The Andhra Pradesh Intermediate Board has introduced strict new measures to ensure transparency and fairness in the conduct of Intermediate Practical and Public Examinations. As part of this move, CCTV surveillance has been made mandatory at all practical examination centres, with live monitoring directly linked to the Board’s office.

What’s New?

  • Mandatory CCTV Cameras in Practical Centres
  • All centres conducting practical exams must install CCTV cameras without exception.
  • Live Monitoring from Board Office
  • The CCTV feeds will be directly connected to the Intermediate Board office for real-time supervision.
  • Special Vigilance at 45 Sensitive Centres
  • Across the state, 45 identified problematic centres will have enhanced surveillance along with sitting squads deployed on-site.
  • New Changes in First-Year Exams
  • Several new rules have been introduced specifically for First Year Intermediate examinations. Exam staff and officials are instructed to clearly understand and strictly implement these changes.

Important Exam Dates

  • Practical Exams: February 1 to February 10 (conducted in two phases)
  • Public Exams: February 23 to March 24

According to Ranjith Basha, Secretary of the Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education (BIEAP), these steps are aimed at ensuring maximum transparency and discipline during examinations. He emphasized that all officials and staff must perform their duties responsibly to make the examination process smooth and fair.

Important Advice for Students

Students are advised to remain extremely cautious and disciplined during practicals and exams. Since all centres will be under continuous CCTV surveillance, any malpractice or irregular behavior will be immediately detected.
